Doughnate Sundays

September 30, 2020 by Steph Guinnane

Supporting the causes we care about, one sweet at a time.

Like many of you, this year has impacted us in ways that we couldn’t have expected. There has been so much loss, grief, pain, and sadness. But, there have also been incredible moments of hope, community, and humanity. We’ve seen people come together to raise their voices and stand up for what they believe in, reach out to help those in need, and bravely face the biggest challenges that our generation is facing -- all with the hope that we can have a better tomorrow.

Inspired by these people, I spent many nights with my friend and fellow baker bestie, reflecting on how we can support and fight for the changes we want to see in this world, and as a bonus, do it through our mutual love of baking.

""

In our first class, we decided to support the mission of When We All Vote, “a non-profit, nonpartisan organization whose mission is to increase participation in every election and close the race and age voting gap. By changing the culture around voting, harnessing grassroots energy, and through strategic partnerships to reach every American.”

We had such a blast getting to spend our morning baking donuts, while raising funds to support this cause. We are incredibly grateful for those that donated and baked along with us, and we can’t thank you enough.

If you are interested in signing up for a future Doughnate Sunday, add your name to our email list. We’d love to bake with you during our next event.
